GEORGIA ARBOR DAY
2026 Registrant Toolkit
Thank you for joining us this year! We’re thrilled to be able to assist you with your events, whether you’re planting trees, handing out seedlings, or both. Please use the materials below to help spread the word.
Local Press Materials
Whether you’re inviting reporters to attend your event, or sharing the news afterward, we’ve got you covered! Just fill in the blanks to fit your needs and you’ll be ready to go.
Social Media Templates
We’ve created a series of social media templates for you to use this year, including NEW carousel (multi-image) options that allow you to share fun designs AND customizable information about your event all in one post! Simply share Friday’s, or better yet, post your favorites in the weeks leading up to your event. Each preview below contains instructions for how to make it your own. Just click each button to open the template and view the image options within. We also have fun caption and timing suggestions for you.
Premade Posts
A free Canva account is required to access the templates above. We hope you’ll join us if you haven’t already! Sign up at canva.com by entering your name, email, and a password. Then access these brief instructional videos to help you get started. (We promise, it’s easy as 1-2-3!)
Still not there yet? Several of our posts are premade and ready to download immediately. Access them here along with a separate set of captions.
Ideas for Your Reels
Looking to incorporate short videos this year and show off your Georgia Arbor Day planting or giveaway site? Here are a few fun ideas to help capture the spirit of your event.
Show your team unloading seedlings, tools, and supplies with a cheerful message like “We’re getting ready to plant!”
Build excitement with a countdown reel using quick clips of your crew prepping for Georgia Arbor Day.
Share photos or short clips from past Georgia Arbor Day activities to highlight your history and invite people to join in again this year.
Introduce your volunteers or partners with short clips or simple mentions to spotlight the people making your event possible.
Share general tree facts like “Planting in February helps young trees thrive” or “Trees keep our communities cooler and cleaner.”
Show your seedling giveaway setup—trays of baby trees, volunteers organizing them, or people choosing their seedlings—with text like “Take home a tree!”
Film a seedling being tucked into healthy soil with a fun caption like “Plant with us this Friday!”
Capture volunteers in action—smiling, watering seedlings, or placing mulch—to highlight the spirit of community.
Grab quick event-day snippets—people arriving, seedlings being planted, shovels hitting the soil—to show the energy of your celebration.
Show what happens next! Capture a behind-the-scenes look at how seedlings are cared for or maintained after the event.
End on a feel-good note by showing how Arbor Day efforts beautify your community—from new plantings in parks to volunteers celebrating a successful day.
Alternatively, do a quick mashup of your favorite clips to create a lively highlight reel.
Other Useful Resources
Are you looking for materials to share with your community? Below, you can download a homeowner's guide to planting trees, written by our friends at the Georgia Forestry Commission. It’s the perfect for handing out alongside your seedlings! You’ll also find a folder with several Arbor Day coloring pages. We think these would be the perfect take-home activity for kids!
